about

I was sitting at the foot of your bed
Talking all night about life and death
And what it all means in a cosmic sense
We were always stuck living in a future tense

But that was already years ago now
I still tend to wonder if you figured it out
Because I'm still just pushing my way
Through the cold fabric of reality

This doesn't mean anything to me

I should've known better when my life stalled
And you didn't answer the phone when I called
So I left a fake message about moving to LA
Guess I just wanted to see what you'd say

This doesn't mean anything to me

If I saw you on the bus would I even recognize you?
If you saw me on the screen would you even recognize me?
How can we be sure we're the people we once were
When I don't even recognize me?

This doesn't mean anything to me

They recruited their friend Michael Garrity to play bass, and the rest, as they say, is history. ... more
