lyrics

I never feared anything at all
Not death or being poor
Except accepting a life
Where I am nothing more
Than the place where I grew up
Where people talk but they don't know
And of facing the real world
With nothing real to show
Nothing real to show

I am nobody
From nowhere really
I'm here right now
And you don't even know me
I am no one
That you care to talk to
I'm here right now
And that means next to nothing
My songs are free

You laugh at me do you know how much it hurts
Take a crack at me, it'll only make it worse
I laugh inside when I hear them say your name
Didn't realize my life was just your game
So when you learn to touch the sky without my help
I can add another notch to my belt
Did it scare you when I asked for a goodbye
Did it scare you when I showed you all my lies
You didn't know it, but it felt so good to try
You didn't know it, but it felt so good to cry

I am always nervous
And I can't unlearn this
I am always nervous
And I don't deserve this

I'm feeling so intense in my brain
Got so many worries I can't explain
What is the meaning of your pain
I'm worried about everything

I am still nobody
From nowhere really
I'm here right now
I know it must mean something
If I'm not someone that you care to talk to
Then there's no way that I can make you see me

Some say, "You capture my angst"
Make all their problems feel real
But is it just validation
That my words reveal
Is a vessel all I am
Like all of them before
Am I really anyone at all
Just a revenant
Nothing more

about

Fourtitude Indianapolis, Indiana

David Spencer and Ryan Farrar met at Saint Joseph's College in Indiana, and it wasn't long before they formed Fourtitude. Years later, in the summer of 2013, the two of them decided to get back together to write and record an album based on their time and experiences at St. Joe. They recruited their friend Michael Garrity to play bass, and the rest, as they say, is history. ... more
