lyrics

When I look into the question "Why?"
Everything sparkles and I realize
This way madness lies
Lies lies lies lies lies
In the scene, I fall away
I wait for a sign to show me the way
From day one I ran from all the pain
But pleasure consumes me, I cannot be saved
But I'm just not feeling the same
And I'm falling
Falling into the trap

I'm a crazy guy and I'm never sane
The fuse gets lit then ignites in flames
I'll consume my future before eternity
Learned from those abandoned in misery
What causes you to give up so easily?

Rankled feather are necessities
There is no truer path meant for me
I'm falling into love
I never wanted it
But all good things turn to shit

Call me another day
I'm busy right now
I don't know what to say
I wanna go

I fell from the tallest building
And everyone watched me die
I crumbled to the ground below
They just gawked at me

A guy smoked a cigarette
And then got high
I never wanna know it feels like to die

I'm alone
In this wormhole for good
I'd turn back if I could
I can't censor my cynicism all day

Pain is another thing
I never wanna feel another damn thing
I wanna go to sleep and never wake up
But everything else lives outside
And I'm stuck

Years later, in the summer of 2013, the two of them decided to get back together to write and record an album based on their time and experiences at St. Joe. They recruited their friend Michael Garrity to play bass, and the rest, as they say, is history. ... more
